About me
It is probably the combination of artistic interests and hands-on skills that has drawn me in recent years to photographing people at work, especially those engaged in arts, crafts and similar work. Interspersed with photography has been drawing, water colour painting, woodwork, and the general skills needed to keep a house running... or a car... or bike... or computer.
My first camera was a simple Halina Paulette purchased with my pocket money when I was about 8 or 9. Many years later I took up photography again with a Praktica MTL3 film SLR, and then much later still with a Canon film SLR. My first introduction to digital photography came with a Canon point-and-shoot, and later a Canon digital SLR.
